Montreal - Canada

Since 4th April 2011 I'm in Montreal, Canada and currently working with SNC-Lavalin Construction Inc. as HSEQ director.
Today is a beautiful sunny day with temperatures close to 20 degree, the weather is getting better, excellent!
My family is still in Europe, with Florence and Cynthia (start school next week again) in Germany and Kevin (preparing for university) in France. I miss them a lot. Hope to get together soon again...

Wieder in Deutschland

Nach 14 sehr interessanten, beruflichen Jahren in Asien (u.a.

Singapore in May 2010

I finally started my new job as HSSE manager with Samsung C&T Corporation for the Singapore LNG project on 5th April 2010.
After 7 weeks on site the project team is established and work is progressing well. I'm very happy with my new assignment and the current team...

My son Kevin is preparing his last excamen (oral excamen in history) on Monday, and than school is completed for him!!!
The official ceremony will be on 27th May at the German school and the final party, with all the students and parents, is scheduled on 28th May at Sentosa.
We are looking forward to this dates...

New contract and new home

One month after my first entry in this blog, I signed a new contract with Samsung C&T Corporation for the Singapore LNG project at Jurong Island.
We also found a new apartment and will move in next month.
So, we finally have at least another 2 years here in Singapore and this is what we were looking for.
We are all very happy about this :-)

Back to work after Chinese New Year

The first question I ask myself is: "What will the year of the TIGER bring to me and my family?"
I have to find another job, because my current project contract is running out in June.
We would like to stay in Singapore, since this place is a perfect fit for myself and my family.
Kevin, 18 years old, is finishing school in May and his plan is to continue playing football and improve his fitness and skills to a level, that he can join a professional team (Prime or S-League) here in Singapore in June. Keep fingers crossed...
Cynthia, 14 years old, still have a few more school years ahead and like to continue at GESS.
My wife and myself relocated a lot in the last 20 years and would like to stay now where we are...
